Use the follow tips to limit potential surfboard damage. Buy or borrow a heavy-duty, appropriately sized surfboard bag, Remove the fins from your board, Remove the old wax from your board, Protect the weaker / ding prone areas such as the nose and tail, Wrap your board in bubble wrap, or put in a surfboard sock, Place the protected board in your board bag, If it’s not already on your bag add “top load only” or “fragile” clearly to the bag in marker pen, Always smile at oversized baggage handlers!
