This is the shortboard I (Jon Pyzel) designed with JJF, the surfboard he rode to his second world title in 2017! The Ghost is quite possibly one of the first high performance surfboards that can work for all levels of surfer and would be a good option for someone who only wanted to travel with one board if the waves were going to be of decent quality.
We are a dedicated team of surfers delivering the best products and services for everyone who surfs, from the absolute beginner to the seasoned traveller and everyone in between. #ridewithus

Matt breaks down the Ghost Family of the Pyzel 2022 Range.
The Pyzel Ghost family of surfboards would make a comprehensive quiver. The legendary Ghost was the first and is probably best known as John John’s career defining shortboard, and the board he rode to his 2017 world title. Next in line is the middle sibling, the Phantom which came about when it was apparent that the Ghost really excelled in shoulder high and above waves and a “step-down” version would be advantageous. Last but not least is the Gremlin; a “chunked-up” small wave wonder stick.
The Pyzel Ghost is a very adaptable shortboard and will thrive in anything from chest high beach breaks right up to double overhead barrelling reefs depending on how you size it. The Ghost can be ridden up to 8” longer and 1/4 to 1/2” wider and 1/8 to 3/8” thicker than your regular shortboard.
The Pyzel Phantom is a brilliant “easy riding” version of the Ghost with a little more volume, a fuller outline with more parallel rails to help maintain speed in less than premium conditions. A great daily driver for the majority of average surfers in average conditions.
The Gremlin still has the same Ghost/Phantom DNA running through it but with a wider outline and lower entry rocker to keep it flowing in slower weaker waves. The Gremlin would also make the ideal next-step or first shortboard for anyone stepping off their larger mini-mal or funboard etc.
